Keypitts off road adventure - an activity centre offering axe throwing, Quad biking, archery and a 4×4 Land Rover experience. Open whatever the weather- they say the wetter the better!

The Milky Way Adventure Park is a great all-weather day out for ages 0 to 100+ and awarded the 2nd Best Amusement Park in the UK by TripAdvisor in 2019. It's home to Devon's tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster, birds of prey shows, laser target shooting and much more.

Combe Martin wildlife and dinosaur park - a zoo set in 28 acres of botanical gardens with themed train ride, fossil museum and life-size animatronic dinosaurs.

The Tarka Trail, inspired by Tarka the Otter, is great for walking and includes the longest continuous off-road cycle path in the UK.  Bikes can be hired from Otter Cycle Hire in Braunton and Tarka Trail Cyle Hire in Barnstaple, including trailers for the kids.

The stunning South West Coast Path passes through Ilfracombe. 

H2O Outdoor are great for guided water sports and wetsuit or equipment hire. You can try wild swimming, coasteering, stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, and surfing.

Exmoor Zoo, on the edge of Exmoor National Park, is a favourite with our guests.

Tunnels Beaches and pools, a network of hand carved tunnels leading to sheltered beaches and tidal Victorian bathing pool. Rated the UK's 3rd best beach for rock pooling by BBC Wildlife Magazine.

Picturesque Ilfracombe harbour with Damien Hirst's famous Verity statue is well worth a visit.

Lundy Island offers an escape from the modern world and great walking, bird watching, diving, climbing and canoeing.  Catch a ferry from Ilfracombe harbour.

Fishing spots are plentiful nearby and you can arrange a sea angling or diving trip with Obsession in Ilfracombe harbour. 

Enjoy a traditional Devonshire cream tea: Nelly May’s Parlour on Ilfracombe High Street is less than 15 minutes' walk.

Experience relaxed fine dining with Ilfracombe's first Michelin-starred chef at restaurant 1873, run by local boy and former competitive surfer Thomas Carr.

Ilfracombe Golf Club is open to non-members.  It is one of the best cliff-top courses in England.  

Ilfracombe & Woolacombe Golf Range has a 12 bay driving range and 18 hole Pitch and Putt course as well as a Radio Controlled Car Track. 

Further afield are Saunton Golf Club and The Royal North Devon Golf Club- the oldest club in England and in Golf World's Top 100 Courses in the world.

Watermouth Castle Family Theme Park - one of the West Country's premier family tourist attractions.

Ilfracombe Museum is full of curiosities.  Discover Ilfracombe’s rich history and see objects from around the world. The varied collections cover natural history and archaeology, art and photography, costume and domestic history.

Exmoor National Park has Europe’s first International Dark Sky Reserve, and the tallest tree and highest cliffs in England.  It's also home to almost 250 species of bird, over 1000 different plants, wild Red Deer and Exmoor ponies, and over 4000 archaeological sites.

The Ultimate Adventure Centre- experience their high level assault course (based on BBC's Total Wipeout and rated one of the best activities in the UK by The Guardian).  Also mountain biking, coasteering, stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, mountain boarding, rifle shooting and surfing.

The Big Sheep has something for all ages, including Battlefield Devon (like paint-balling but without the injuries), animals, rides and a brewery and gin distillery.

Dartington Crystal create contemporary crystal and glass and you can watch it being made whilst learning about the skills. The visitors centre sells discounted Dartington products as well as fashion, homeware and gifts from other brands.

The Gnome Reserve, a four acre reserve which is home to over 1000 gnomes and pixies and 250 species of flower.
